Rhetorical Structure Theory (RST) is an alternative way of doing discourse analysis.
Mick O'Donnell's RSTTool is a program for constructing RST analyses. What SmART is in relation to SSA, RSTTool is in relation to RST. Alternative tools for RST analysis are Daniel Marcu's RST Annotation Tool and Hatem Ghorbel's RhetAnnotate.
Similar tree structures can be constructed with Ulrik Petersen's Linguistic Tree Constructor (LTC).

Programming

Instructive tutorials about HTML, XML, XSL, and XPath are available at W3 Schools.

Unicode Fonts

Unicode resources, especially for classicists, are available at David Perry's scholarsfonts.net. The Cardo font is part of the SmART package (see Third-Party Tools).
A respectable collection of links to other unicode polytonic greek resources is provided by Russell Cottrell .

Linguistics, Bible Translation, and Theology

Many resources about linguistics are available at Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL).
Bible Translation, especially into minority languages, is the primary task of Wycliffe International.
SmART's developer is studying theology at Freie Theologische Akademie (Evangelical Theological Seminary) in Giessen, Germany.
